Recently I’ve been thinking that I want to learn how to dance.. And at the same time I also want to exercise, because I already have these love handle I want to get rid of. If I dance instead, do you think that will also serve as my exercise already? I’ve tried learning some dance a while ago, and I was so tired. I really did sweat.. what do you think?
One of the main reasons people quit an exercise program is a lack of motivation and goal setting. You may start an exercise program in hopes of losing weight and becoming fit. However, as you continue exercising, you may feel that you’re putting in so much effort but gaining so little. You become unmotivated because it’s not worth it.
With dance, kids, teens, and adults can find a way to stay motivated, exercise, and have more fun.
Dancing is a great way to exercise. There are even plenty of gyms that offer dance fitness classes. I recommend doing some form of cardio salsa or hip hop. If you decide to do it on your own, make sure you incorporate some stretching and core exercises as well.
It is a GREAT form of exercise. Usually during the warm up (jazz class) or something like it, you will probably do a lot of crunches and leg ups and stuff like that. But to use dance for losing weight isn’t that easy, dance would be easier for just maintaining weight.
I think you should join maybe a body combat class, it is very energetic. In a body combat class there is never any detailed instruction or technique.
Body Combat is more like kick boxing… to the max. And if that’s tiring just do it until you reach or desired weight and then start dancing just to maintain your shape. You’ll turn that flab into muscle in no time!
